Copywriting is a form of text written specifically for advertising or marketing services. The written content written with this goal in mind is called ‘copy’. Copy may be written for a number of purposes such as advertising a product/service, raising brand awareness or attempting to persuade the target audience to take a particular action.
Copywriting is required frequently to raise awareness of a product or services availability, the benefits of the product/service, to tell a target audience about a promotion, new developments and for branding purposes.
Preparing copywriting takes much research in to the product/service being written about, the target audience and even the culture of the target audience. Once all the necessary information is collated, the copy is written in the appropriate language necessary to persuade, entice, promote and engage the target audience.
